Since I had a vacation I decided to take time off from this blog, too. I got to admit that I managed to have a lot of fun playing Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. But of course programming popped into my mind every now and then but mostly I did manage to relax and focus on other stuff.
Last week I decided it was time for me to get back in the game. Erm, back to programming from gaming, I mean. I was planning to continue my new project but didn’t manage to do that for that long. I had received feedback on Makro and it was a feature request. And a good one, too.
It was time to dig up my project files and start getting myself familiar with the codebase again. That in itself wasn’t too hard but the programming was a whole nother story. Not having programmed in more than two weeks did not do any good. It was surprisingly hard to get in the flow and be productive. In a way, it felt like I had forgotten most of what I had learned so far.
But I stuck with it and eventually got back in the game. After a few days of “hard” work, I published a new version of Makro for people to use. It was a good thing, too, that I started getting back to programming. It would have been a bit awkward to be completely lost on the first day at work. Regarding programming, I mean. Otherwise, I’m lost all the time.
